Showers are supposed to be a relaxing way to cleanse your body, but what if I told you the water from your showerhead could be impacting your hair and skin?
85% of states across the U.S. experience hard water (water that is high in dissolved minerals). This may contribute to various common skin and hair issues, including dry skin, damaged hair, changes in hair color, and skin discomfort.

Showerheads with filtered technology provide cleaner, gentler water that can help maintain skin’s natural moisture, clear away product buildup, prolong hair color treatment, and more. Finding the best showerhead for you depends on several factors, including price, convenience, type of filter, and water pressure.
Canopy and Jolie are two of the top filtered showerheads on the market, but which one checks all the boxes?
Ease & Convenience
I’m not a mechanic, so I need the most straightforward process when installing a showerhead. Canopy comes with a wrench to unscrew your existing showerhead. Other than that, I was happy to find it was a completely tool-free installation. To install, attach the threaded inlet to the shower pipe and rotate it until secure, using the tab on the showerhead to tighten.

Similarly, Jolie Filtered Showerheads come with a custom wrench that you can use to remove your old fixture. Then, using the included tape, wrap the threaded part of the exposed pipe twice and tear away the excess. Finally, twist on the showerhead until it feels snug. If necessary, you can use the wrench to ensure it’s fully installed and leak-free.
Canopy offers a handheld option.

Showering doesn’t require a whole lot of work, but when it comes to thoroughly cleansing your hair, there’s an art to it. Canopy makes this easier with its handheld option. You are in control of how the water disperses into your hair, allowing for deep cleansing of product buildup. Plus, you can use the showerhead to wash your pets with its movable design.
Canopy uses quick-release filter replacement.
For optimal results, filters should be replaced every three months. Canopy offers quick-release technology, so all you have to do is pop off the faceplate of the showerhead, remove the old filter, and place the new one.

Some customers have experienced difficulty removing their Jolie filter. First, unscrew the head from the pipe, remove the back cap and the old filter, and then add the new filter in its place.
Neither showerhead requires complex filter replacements, but Canopy doesn’t require any unscrewing to ensure the head stays leak-free.
Price
Price isn’t a dealbreaker when it comes to investing in your skin and hair, but it’s good to know you can still find high-quality showerheads at a reasonable price.
Canopy Filtered Showerheads are priced at $150 each, which includes one filter and one sample aroma kit. To get more bang for your buck, consider one of two subscriptions: Showerhead + Filter for $135, with a new filter shipped every 90 days for $25, or the Showerhead + Filter and Aroma Subscription for $125, with a new filter and 3-piece aroma kit shipped every 90 days for $40.
Rest assured, you can pause or change your subscription at any time. If you prefer, you can buy one replacement filter for $37 or a one-year supply of filters for $120. Additional subscriptions and bundles are available, and Canopy’s risk-free 60-day money-back guarantee backs every purchase.

Jolie is slightly higher in price than Canopy. The standalone showerhead with one filter sells for $169. Instead, you can opt for the $152 subscription, which includes having filters delivered to you every 90 days for a recurring fee of $35 per shipment. Replacement filters can be purchased individually for $38 each, and Jolie also offers a 60-day money-back guarantee.
Filtration
The strength of filtration is key for a showerhead to reduce chlorine and contaminants. With the proper filtration system, water pressure can also be maximized for a soothing showering experience. For those in coastal cities, the filter is crucial to ensure water is gentler & cleaner.
Canopy utilizes a tri-media filter, which features activated carbon, KDF-55, and calcium sulfite.

Activated carbon is made from coconut shells and is highly effective at absorbing impurities. KDF-55 is a formulation of copper and zinc that chemically reduces contaminants in the water. Calcium Sulfite reduces chlorine by trapping suspended particles in the water as they pass through.
Jolie’s filter features KDF-55 and Calcium Sulfite.
Jolie utilizes KDF-55 and Calcium Sulfite to purify water and enhance cleanliness. While they offer a higher concentration of KDF-55, their filtration does not include activated carbon to absorb contaminants.

Water Pressure Mechanism
Pressure is what determines how deeply the water penetrates your hair to clear away any product buildup. With the proper showerhead, you can achieve both enjoyable and intense water pressure.
Both the Jolie and the Canopy Handheld have a water pressure of 1.8 gallons per minute (GPM). The filter within your Jolie uses a 125-micron stainless steel mesh that allows for water to flow through at a high rate. The standard Canopy Filtered Showerhead has a water pressure of 2.5 GPM.† Where the two brands differ is the experience.
Canopy allows you to choose your settings.
The standard Canopy Filtered Showerhead offers three settings for a personalized shower experience: wide, narrow, and dual. With the three settings alongside the aroma diffusion, Canopy provides a spa-like ambiance while proactively cleansing your hair.

Additionally, the Canopy Handheld has a scalp massager attachment that invigorates the scalp and helps cleanse away product build-up.
Results
As chlorine can be incredibly damaging to hair and skin, it’s essential to purchase a filtered showerhead that delivers real results and pays off in the long run. When I dove into the reports of consumer experiences to see which brand’s showerhead had the most positive feedback, I discovered the following data for Canopy:

Your showerhead could be the key to maintaining healthy-looking skin and hair. Therefore, it’s a great idea to invest in one that has innovative filter technology and good water pressure.
Aesthetically speaking, Jolie is a sleek design that can add to your shower’s appearance. It’s effective in cleaning hair and filtering out contaminants. However, it fails to add additional features to create a relaxing experience and prolong deep cleansing.
With personalized settings, your shower experience is both relaxing and productive. At a reasonable price, you’re investing in a showerhead that will last you a while and won’t break the bank. The addition of aromatherapy creates a spa-like ambiance to elevate your daily shower experience.
* Based on an external Consumer Perception Study of 47 participants, after 30 days. Results may vary per individual. The filter is not independently tested for all contaminants; results may vary based on water quality and other factors.
† To comply with state regulations, your showerhead will be customized based on your shipping address. For states with water restrictions, you’ll receive a Low-Flow showerhead (1.8 GPM) with a High-Flow restrictor. For states without restrictions, you’ll receive a High Flow showerhead (2.5 GPM) with a Low Flow restrictor

i want to buy a canopy handheld showerhead. is the one advertised on Amazon a bootleg copy or the real deal? also, how come it is hard to find replacment filters for canopy. That seems to be the main complaint. if amazon really does sell the real deal canopy, why don’t they sell the replacement filters? this could be a deal breaker for me where I may not purchase the canopy if it is hard to get filters.
Are you guys gonna have any Black Friday sales
What do you recommend for well water?
We have well water and we just got the canopy shower head filter and we LOVE it! The water itself just feels so much softer I can’t explain it
Will these filters clean iron from the water
Is there an issue with finding replacement filters?
